Suzuki Blackpool presents large donation to local charity

Chapelhouse Blackpool has made a large food donation to local charity, Donna's Dream House.   

Head of Sales, Dan Worthington, and Sales Executive, Danielle Hughes, were on hand to present Donna's Dream House with the food haul that had been collected throughout all ten Chapelhouse dealerships.  

The Chapelhouse team were joined at the official opening of the new Donna's Dream House Play Area by the charity's Chairman, Len Curtis, Blackpool Mayor, Gillian Campbell, and the all-new Suzuki Swift!

Donna's Dream Houses offers free holiday experiences in the seaside resort for children and teenagers with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Currently amid an extensive refurbishment, the Dream House offers accommodation, a cinema, and a sensory playroom, among many other activities.  

“I, along with the Trustees of the Donna's Dream House charity, would like to thank Chapelhouse for the very kind support of our very special families,” said Len.  

“This generous donation will keep us stocked up while also saving vital funds. Your support will bring fun and laughter to our special terminally ill children staying with us for what may be their last holiday with their families.”

Donna's Dream House is primarily staffed by volunteers and relies on the generosity of donations from individuals and businesses in the Blackpool and Fylde area.  

“It has been my absolute please to support the work of Len and the team down at Donna's Dream House,” said Dan. “I personally had the pleasure of visiting earlier this year with Chapelhouse Managing Director, Phil Clay, to see first-hand the excellent work they do.  

“All I can say is what a humbling experience it was, creating a desire for me and the team at Chapelhouse Blackpool to get involved. Aside from a generous food donation collected across the whole Chapelhouse Group, we have plenty more to offer, including members of our team offering their services here as volunteers.

“It is important to us as a business here in the Blackpool area that we recognise the local community and support wherever, and as much as possible.

“I am more than proud to be an ambassador for Donna's Dream House and would like to thank Len and the team for inviting us here to their charity. We look forward to a longstanding partnership between us!”
