The Brand New MG4 Triumph Edition is Extra Cool!

The MG Mulan Triumph or the MG4 Triumph edition as it will probably be known in the UK would be the dual motor hot hatch flagship of the MG4 range.

Though the exterior of the car hasn't really changed compared to the standard MG4 model, the MG4 Triumph gets some extra stand-out features including bright orange callipers, sharp green paint and new alloy designs.

The interior has received a couple of upgrades. The most notable is the fitting of sports seats with six-way adjustment and two-way lumbar support. An Alcantara steering wheel is also features. Features from previous models still remain such as the 10.25 inch infotainment centre and the 360-degree surround view camera.

The biggest difference? The Triumph is twice as powerful as the standard MG4! With a brace of electric motors and a 64kWh battery generating 449hp and 442lb ft, the all wheel drive Triumph edition will do 0-62 (100kn) in less than four seconds!

MG has suggested a 285 miles of range, 4 miles more than the MG4 Trophy Long Range, although that is using Chinese test procedures which can be more lenient.

Not much more is known at this moment and it is unclear whether the Triumph Edition will come to the UK but all information suggests that it will and if it does, it is sure to be a flagship success!

With the release of the sleek MG7 sedan in China that will top the new MG Black Label Series and teasers of the sporty, high-performance Cybster, the all-electric car that could come with sports seats and scissor doors, could MG be looking to develop a range of performance-based cars?
